August 12th - A day of encouragement
Looking back at the day:
Praised God with Lampstone's church near Mombasa.
Levi shared with the church on the power of encouragement and prophetic ministry.
Encouraged and prayed for the church members. God took away every person's pain completely.
Said goodbye for now to the people of that church. Technically the church is in Mariakani, a suburb of Mombasa. Though it is often still referred to as Mombasa.
Packed our things and prepared for the night's trip, while talking with and getting to know more local residents. Before heading out we prayed together for divine appointments during the trip ahead.
Walked out to the bus stop and started some street ministry while waiting. Among others, Levi talked with a Muslim man who then accepted Jesus. I talked with a Christian man who has a motorcycle which he drives as a taxi, encouraging him to grab the opportunity he has to share Jesus with people during his job.
Took a night bus to Katui. We will we based here until Wednesday morning with several conference sessions.
On the bus: Levi and Lampstone talked, encouraging each other. I talked with John, an extremely wise and humble Christian next to me on the bus, and we encouraged each other.
After some sleep, we arrived in Katui at about 6 in the morning.
Fun notes:
Zebras do make a distinct sound, as we learned from the kids here. :-)
Lampstone has continued to bless us with great food. Levi and I both might have gained some weight here. He makes extremely good chai tea with tea masala!
