August 17th - A day of touring and conversations

Weston's stomach has acted up again causing him great pain. Please continue to pray with us for total healing.

Friday's log:

Took breakfast with Violet & Sammy.

Sammy Wanga drove us to Sam's radio broadcast house for an interview. The interview was split across the hour into several 3-5 minute segments, and Levi shared a short message of hope.

Enjoyed a live band. Then encouraged the staff there at the radio station. The radio station is focusing on a message of hope and is targeted at young people.

Picked up Violet and went to Nyahururu. She had a speaking engagement while we visited Destiny bible college, the heroes medical clinic, Sammy's church, and the Heroes of Nation orphanage.

It was a tremendous blessing to us to see much of the ministry there in Nyahururu. People here are working an amazing change on our God's behalf!

After dinner we had a speed-tour of the Heroes of the Nation orphanage, led by the kids. Saw the cows, garden, greenhouse, library, dining hall, kitchen, girls dorm, and boys dorm in about 20 minutes. Prayed for the kids, and the kids prayed for us.

Picked up Violet and returned to Nakuru.

We said goodbye to Sammy and went with Sam to visit the wheat field in Nakuru that Weston had planted as an investment.

Bought our last-minute bus tickets. The first two bus companies we visited were sold out. We ended up with an earlier bus than we had hoped, so we were then on a tight time schedule.

We packed & showered. Prayed with Weston & Violet for Weston's health. Then had dinner, and said goodbye. Headed to the bus spot with Joseph and his son, Sammie.

The bus spot was very difficult to find again, and we arrived about 28 minutes later than we had planned. However, the bus was still 20 minutes out, so Levi started sharing Jesus with people.

The station conductor was incredibly open to receiving Jesus. The conversation went like this: Are you born again? - No. Do you want to be? - Of course! And then they prayed together. Praise God!

Right as we were finishing with the station conductor, our bus to Makindu arrived. The next two guys on the bus that we talked to were already saved.

We got some sleep on the bus and arrived in Makindu after about 5 and a half hours.

Pastor Joshua picked us up and took us to our hotel.

Prayed with Joshua and Lampstone for the upcoming wedding, and went to bed.

More notes:

We plan to be in Makindu until just after church on Sunday.

Things you can find on a motorcycle or bicycle here: Six foot stack of chairs. Five-foot stack of firewood. 5 count bundle of 8 foot pipes each 6 in. thick. A mother with a baby tied tightly to her back using only a blanket.

EXPECT TO ENCOUNTER ADVERSITY in your life, rememering that you live in a deeply fallen world. Stop trying to find a way that circumvents difficulties. The main problem with an easy life is that it masks your need for Me. When you become a Christian, I infused My very Life into you, empowering you to live on a supernatural plans by depending on Me.

Anticipate coming face to face with impossibilities: situations totally beyond your ability to handle. THis awareness of your inadequacy is not something oushould try to evade. It is preciselychere I want you--the best place to encounter Me in My Glory and Power. When you see armies of problems marching toward you, cry out to Me! Allow Me to fight for you. Watch Me working on your behalf, as you rest in the shadow of My Almighty Presence.

After this I heard what sounded like the roar of a great multitude in heaven shouting: “Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God,

    Gabriel & Levi,
We continue to pray for you and everyone that God has put in your path. You are shining Jesus Light and changing lives. Thank you for traveling so far to show God's Love to His children in Kenya, and for taking the time to share your adventures with everyone back home. Also, thank you, Samuel for making it possible for Levi and Gabriel to share with us via this blog! You are all doing amazing work for our God's Kingdom!
    Peace,
    Tamy
