August 10th - A day of deliverance!


Some highlights of our Friday in Mombasa:

Showers, then a delicious breakfast tea.

Walked around town for a long while visiting many local church members, encouraging and blessing them. Some were delivered from pain. Prayed for a lady oppressed by HIV. All were invited to come for an afternoon session.

Afternoon session at Lampstone's church, 'Mt. Horeb': Praised God together in Kiswahili and English. Levi preached on choosing joy and the power of laughter (Phil 4:4), and that there is no such thing as a second-class christian. God healed at least three people from physical pains, and set at least three more people free who were demonically oppressed. We then prayed together for some time, blessing the people there at the church.

We stayed at Mina & Elizabeth's home for an excellent dinner and conversation time.

Visited Rahima, a lady who before conversion was being trained as a witch. She was oppressed by something... which left her tonight. We then prayed for and blessed her.

Fun notes & praises:

The 3-month old church here is alive with joy and there are many new christians on fire for God as well as several strong leaders and prayer warriors.

God is reaching the Muslims through these people, even ones headed for witchcraft.

Sheep look very different with tails which almost touch the ground. :-)

God led with so many incredible events today that we can't remember it all... We're amazed and grateful! Keep praying! Our God is Powerful!

Prayer focus for the coming day:

For God's spirit of unity, wisdom, and healing, and for open hearts to receive God's blessing at the church conference tomorrow afternoon.

For safe transit to Nairobi and back and open eyes to see God at work around us all day.

Anything at all that God lays on your heart to pray.

    COME TO ME. Come to Me. Come to Me. This is My continual invitation to you, proclaimed in holy whispers. When your heart and mind are quiet, you can hear Me inviting you to draw near. Coming close to Me requires no great effort on your part; it is more like ceasing to resist the magnetic pull of My Love. Open yourself to My loving Presence, so that I may fill you with My fullness.     God is truly amazing, He is always with us, never giving up on us, even when we have given up on ourselves! Thank you Levi & Gabriel for doing God's work and making a difference in people's lives.
    Praying that God keep you safe, open the hearts of the people there, and that He speak through you to change lives.

    COME TO ME when you are weak and weary. Rest snugly in My everlasting arms. I do not despise your weakness My child. Actually, it draws Me closer to you, because weakness stirs up My compassion—My yearning to help. Accept yourself in your weariness, knowing that I understand how difficult your journey has been.

    Do not compare yourself with others, who seem to skip along their life-paths with ease. Their journeys have been different from yours, and I have gifted them with abundant energy. I have gifted you with fragility, providing opportunities for your spirit to blossom in My Presence. Accept this gift as a sacred treasure: delicate, yet glowing with brilliant Light. Rather than struggling to disguise or deny your weakness, allow Me to bless you richly through it.

    In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.
