August 16th - A day of influence

Praise God! Weston is now pain-free! Please keep praying with us for
complete renewal. He is still on bedrest for now.

Today was the midpoint for our trip here. We plan to have one more
week on the ground before flying home.

Looking back at the day:

Had breakfast tea with Violet and Pastor Sammy Mwanga.

Left early from the Gitonga house in Nakuru with Sammy in his car.
We picked Pastor Elijah up in Nyahururu. The total drive-time to
Nanyuki was four hours.

After a short tea break, we met at Happy Church Intl. there in
Nanyuki. 11 local Nanyuki pastors met with the 4 of us there for a
meeting.

The meeting:
Thankful greetings
Introductions
Levi shared about building God's kingdom on earth and on a lifestyle of Hope.
Answered some questions.
Words of Encouragement.
Passed on specific words God had shared with us for them.
Delivered to the pastors some books which had been sent with us.
Closed in prayer and shared blessings.

Had a late lunch before heading back.

Drove back to Nakuru.

Ate supper while talking about more things that God has been doing
throughout Africa.

Had tea while talking with Weston. He is in MUCH better health today
than he was before. He will soon run for Senator of the county which
we today travelled across.

Praises and fun notes:
We are very appreciative of and humbled by the opportunity God gave us
to share with many leaders today.

There are nearly 40 members of the pastor's fellowship which meets
weekly in Nanyuki.

The cities we drove through today are very green. It's a beautiful
region. In contrast to the drought of Katui, this region's rainy
season is longer this year than normal.

Both Levi and I drove some today. Levi's drive was during a rainstorm.

Nanyuki is at the base of Mt. Kenya. However, because of the clouds,
the mountain was not visible to us.

We crossed the equator quite a few times today!

In Kenya, all time is tea time. Kenyan's LOVE their tea... I like it
quite a bit too. :-)

Thanks for the replies! I wish we share some pictures, but they'll
have to wait. We are taking plenty of pictures and videos and hope to
share some soon!

Special thanks to my brother Samuel back home who is making these
daily posts possible!

Thank you all for the prayers!

FIND ME in the midst of the maelstrom. Sometimes events whirl around you so quickly that they become a blur. Whisper My Name in recognition that I am still with you. Without skipping a beat in the activities that occupy you, you find strength and Peace through praying My Name. Later, when the happenings have run their course, you can talk with Me more fully.

Accept each day just as it comes to you. Do not waste your time and energy wishing for a different set of circumstances. Instead, trust Me enough to yeild to My design and purposes. Remember that nothing can separate you from My loving Presence; you are Mine.

    Philippians 2:9-11
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

    Isaiah 43:1
But now, this is what the LORD says—he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
